A Lovely Hub
Today’s photo comes from the Hub at Disneyland.
As I was editing some photos last night, I came across a few just like this one from my last Disneyland trip. The common theme that I see in them is that I am a huge fan of taking these shots at a ‘normal’ focal length. Nothing super wide, and also nothing telephoto. The Hub at Disneyland has a wonderfully natural feel to it. I think I’ve said it before, but it really feels like the center of a park, much more so than the Hub at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, which feels a little bit more like a grand terminal for the different lands. Disneyland’s Hub has a ton of trees and benches, which I think helps it out a ton. They don’t have a castle stage show for the trees to block, so they didn’t get cut down like the ones that used to be in the Magic Kingdom. I know there isn’t anything compositionally spectacular to this photo, but it provides a great visual for me of a place I hold close to my heart, and I think that if a photo can do that, it’s doing its job.
This shot was taken with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens, both available at Amazon. If you ever shop at Amazon, please click our links, as anything you purchase afterwards will help support us. Thanks for looking!
