Halloween may have been yesterday, but we are already in the Christmas spirit on the Disney Photography Blog. That does not mean we will be posting Christmas only photos for the next two months, but we do get to make an exciting announcement today.

Today we start selling our new eBook: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party – A Photographer’s Guide.

This book was put today by myself, Cory Disbrow and Katie Marino. It includes:

  • Over 30 pages of photography tips for those attending the Magic Kingdom party
  • 30 excellent photographs taken from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
  • Tips on photographing Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
  • We cover settings and locations for Holiday Wishes, the special fireworks show
  • The park is filled with Christmas decorations and we let you know what to photograph
  • A great part of these Holiday parties is getting to meet rare characters. Find out which characters are out and how best to use your DSLR to capture great photos with them.

We feel this is a complete guide for photographer’s attending the Christmas party and will help you capture all the great moments. Note that many of the camera settings discussed in the book relate to using a DSLR camera. We cover more than just settings though, so even point & shoot users will learn from reading this book.

Great book! This will be really helpful when I go down in 10 days for the party! I would like to make a suggestion though. I know you do tell the general settings you should start out with when shooting but I would LOVE to see a small caption below each picture that gave out the EXIF data. Just so we kinda get a sense for each of the settings used on all the very GORGEOUS pictures of yours. :)

    Thanks again!

Thanks for the suggestion, I will see if we can make that update.

I used to rent a room in one of those old houses on West Nicola. I love that so many poeple have the patience to restore those old houses. I love the photos you took there. Beautiful.

I’m so glad to see you are offering this, and such perfect timing. My husband and I will be at the party on the 11th. My husband has always been into photography and he takes some great shots. He got me started a while ago but I still considered myself a beginner and would just try for some simple, basic shots. I have to say after spending a lot of time on this site I definitely want to take my own photography up a notch. We’ve been planning this trip since this past April and I think we found your site in May and I have been to it almost every day. You guys offer such great advice, encouragement, and ideas. Thank you so much, keep up the awesome work. Can’t wait to get home and download the new ebook!
