On my most recent Walt Disney World trip, I spent a day at Hollywood Studios with Cory photographing the park. We didn’t realize it at the time, but it happened to be the same day that the Dapper Day event was being held. If you are not familiar with Dapper Day, it is a fan organized event that is held twice a year at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The people attending the event show up dressed in their most stylish outfits and enjoy the park together. As someone who is interested in photographing the parks and enjoy human element type photography, it makes for some great photo opportunities. It seemed to be a great fit for Hollywood Studios since their outfits went perfect with the 1930′s theme of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard.

Today’s photo comes to us from right outside Star Tours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. When shooting Disney theme parks like I do all the time, it always gets to a point where you need to find new things to photograph. That’s not to say that I don’t love shooting landscapes including Cinderella Castle or Spaceship […]
Today, we feature a true beacon for the showbiz elite, the Hollywood Tower Hotel. This photo is kind of a funny story. I drew my inspiration for the processing of the shot from the newly refreshed Disney park maps. On the cover of the map for the Studios, they feature a very dark and ominous […]
Yesterday I had a day off from work, so I decided to head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios with just a fisheye lens attached to my camera to see what I could find. I’m usually one to preach against shooting fisheye all the time, but since this was just a quick trip (I think I was […]
Happy Monday everyone! Today, I’ll be reviewing for you the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras thanks to our friends and partners over at Kingdom Camera Rentals! As you probably know by now, I don’t provide MTF charts and show 100% samples to show sharpness, fringing, yada yada yada. I like […]
Happy Monday everyone!
For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you know by now that I have decided to switch my second camera body from that of a Canon EOS 7D to a Olympus OM-D E-M5 mirrorless camera. I’ve only had the little guy for a week, but I have absolutely fallen in love with it. Very fast auto focus, high image quality, good in low light, and it fits in a cargo pocket!
My photos with it have stunned Adam so much that he went ahead and bought one and has already sold away some of his Nikon gear! Others in the Disney photography community have also made the switch or have expressed interest in doing so soon.
