One Big Flash
Today’s photo comes from World Showcase at Epcot.
This shot is one that has a really fun story behind it. I went to the park last night to see some friends and do some night shooting. We decided to start in China, so we headed over there while Illuminations was starting. After setting up, I did a test shot to see what my composition looked like, and I got a shot that completely lit everything here in the foreground like there was a giant external flash set up right behind me. So, one the show ended and the lights went back to their normal mode, I did my typical three exposure bracket. Once getting home, I did my Merge to 32Bit HDR in Lightroom, but instead of the three shot bracket, I also added in the test shot from during Illuminations. And this was what I came out with. A very happy accident!
This shot was taken with the Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens, both of which are available at Amazon. If you shop at Amazon, we ask that you please click the links here in the article before buying anything to help support the site. Thanks for looking!!
