Snow White’s Scary Adventures Photos

By Cory Disbrow on May 31st, 2012   |    Posted in:  Disney Photo Spotlight   |    Comments Off

Snow White’s Scary Adventures closes today at the Magic Kingdom and to celebrate its last day of operation, we have a bunch of photos of the classic dark ride. Snow White is a Day 1 attraction, as in it opened on October 1, 1971 along with the Magic Kingdom. It is being removed because Disney is building a new Mine Train roller coaster themed around the Seven Dwarfs and putting a large Princess Meet and Greet where the dark ride currently stands.

Enjoy looking back at one of the classic attractions from Walt Disney World.

Final Thoughts

It is pretty sad to see Snow White’s Scary Adventures close. It may have been a simple dark ride with really just a lot of props that didn’t move, but it had that quaint, charming feel that classic Disney dark rides are known for. It was also a great challenge for photography, since it was so very dark inside coupled with movement. It is a shame that it is getting gutted for a meet and greet, but hopefully once the New Fantasyland is complete, we will have a worthy replacement to enjoy.

All of the shots in this post were created with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX DG lens.
