For many of us, one of the most important parts of a Walt Disney World vacation is photography. Trying to nail that shot on the Haunted Mansion, photographing fireworks from Main Street and most important would be capturing the memories created when visiting with family and friends. The cost of the trip to Disney though may not allow for everyone to have the latest and greatest camera equipment that we talk about here on Disney Photography Blog. Many people are happy with their point and shoot camera (and there are many top of the line ones available now!) or even using their iPhone. We have even seen people walking around taking photos with their iPad in the parks!

It would be great though if you could use a quality DSLR camera on your vacation and not have to worry about the expense of purchasing the body, lenses, camera bag and accessories. Maybe you don’t need a DSLR in your everyday life, but for that week at Disney it could make a world of difference in the photos you capture.

When I walked into my local Apple Store and saw they were stocking slide-on lenses for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, I was very excited. There are a lot of times that it’s just more convenient for me to take a shot with my iPhone 4′s 5.0 megapixel camera than it is to take […]

Hello readers! For today, I’m going to review one of my lenses, the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM. Let’s start off with the lens itself. As a member of Canon’s L Series, it is top notch in build quality. It feels like you could very easily drop this lens and have nothing happen to it. […]

So, you’ve invested your hard earned cash in the latest DSLR and lens technology and you’re headed off on a Disney vacation. While you are bound to get great shots of all the sights around the parks, what happens when you want to actually be in a photo? I’m sure Disney would tell you that’s […]

I once traveled to the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground to see the infamous Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue for the first time. Armed with my faithful Point and Shoot, Alfred, a rather striking Canon PowerShot SX10 IS, I was ready for some good times and amble photo opportunities. Surrounded by friends and complete strangers, we all broke out our […]
